| Improve Your Serve with David Meyer |
| |
Jesus lived with the awareness that God is doing something, right here, right now, and anybody can be a part of it. He encouraged his listeners to search, to question, to wrestle with the implications of what he was saying and doing. He inspired, challenged, provoked, comforted, and invited people to be open to God’s work in this world. Wherever he went, whatever he did, Jesus started discussions about what matters most. NOOMA is a series of short films that explore our world from a perspective of Jesus. We’ll watch two films from the series, compare them to scripture and pursue a real, honest and objective discussion of how these lessons may help us to become better servant leaders. |

One of the most crucial ministries we can have is prayer. In this elective we will explore intercessory prayer. How do we stand in the gap between God and an individual or situation and ask God what we want to see happen? We will look at God's promises to answer our prayers, what intercession is and what it is not, and specific things we should be praying for. This is always a most humbling and exciting study! |
| Which "Jesus" Do You Follow? with Sam Trommler |
| |
In a real sense we are all leaders. But where we lead people depends on who we are following. We know from the Bible that many 'christs' and many 'messiahs' will propagate our world. How can we make sure that we are following the true Christ and leading people in the right direction? We will examine and discuss together the false 'christs' in our world and especially focus on discovering who the Biblical Christ truly is. |
