To Be or Not To Be? with Fahren Hattrup
“Come on, give me a bite of you pizza, I gave you a bite of mine.” In our everyday interactions we seem to appeal to some kind of innate moral law but does such a thing exist? Is it purely a convention created by societies and individuals to promote peace and wellbeing? We’ll examine the arguments for and against a set of innate moral laws and more importantly what implications each outcome has in regards to the existence of a moral lawgiver (a.k.a. God).
Serving Outside Our Borders with Caty Berry & Ingrid Sam
As Americans we have a unique position in the world. We have great opportunity to influence the world through service. Why is service so important? Jesus lived a life of service and calls us to also serve others. Though there are many places to serve around the world, this elective will focus on ways to serve globally from where we are.  We’ll get a glimpse of the issues like Invisible Children and sexual slavery through background information and video clips Then we’ll engage in discussion about what the Bible says about service and how we can be more involved in serving other communities.
The True Beauty of a Woman with Mari Trommler and Becky Trommler
How is the inner renewal that Christ has brought to our lives reflected in our demeanor? Appearance and demeanor are powerful nonverbal communicators in our socioeconomic world. They also serve as a frame to reveal the picture of the One whom we serve. We want to take a positive approach to learn what God has revealed in Scripture regarding how we can better display the beauty of His light and love. (Ladies Only)
